In the winter, visitors can take a cool Nevada December drive on their way to the Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort to take in some time on the slopes.

For those who love the outdoors but prefer their sport a little more leisurely, North Vegas has many top quality golf courses for golf enthusiasts to spend their days on. For those wanting to take advantage of the heat, visitors can run off to nearby Lake Mead, which boasts over 500 miles of shoreline on which to soak up some sun. If you're tired of sitting in your King West lofts and would love a little more action in your day, you'll have to take in a race at the Las Vegas Speedway on your trip to North Vegas. As it's the only NASCAR venue in the state, you won't want to miss it when the boys are in town.

Of course, most people who come to the Las Vegas Valley do so to take in America's highest quality gambling.
